Insulation on insulation.

EIFS over AAC puts a bonded insulation board, reinforced base coat and textured finish on the outside of an AAC wall. The AAC already gives U 0.55 at 200 mm; EIFS takes the envelope further and gives the architect mouldings, cornices and colour.
