Fired clay.
Ventilated.
A back-ventilated rainscreen in fired clay: extruded, double-walled tiles and large-format panels hung on an aluminium sub-frame, with an air gap that carries the Gulf heat away before it reaches the wall.
A façade
that breathes.
Terracotta is the oldest building material and one of the most durable: colourfast, non-combustible, and unmoved by heat, salt or sun. Hung as a rainscreen, it shades the structure and ventilates behind, cutting the cooling load while the building keeps its colour for decades.
Tiles, panels,
sub-frame.
Two families from a German manufacturer: a 30 mm double-walled tile for standard façades, and large-format panels up to 3 m long for horizontal bands and fins. Both hang on an aluminium rail system fixed back to the structure or to AAC cladding, with open joints and a ventilated cavity.

Rainscreen outside.
Insulation inside.
Hang the terracotta on AAC cladding panels and the wall insulates itself: U 0.55 at 200 mm before the rainscreen, four-hour fire rating, and one trade for the backing wall and the façade.
